Mickey was the fifth child born to Ray and Coral Stockton Kirkpatrick on July 27, 1923 on a farm north of Mt. Vernon. The family moved to Anamosa for her senior year and graduated in 1941. She frequently returned to Lisbon for her class reunions.

On September 27, 1941, she eloped with Eugene (Gene) Sievers. Seven Children blessed this union. They divorced in 1980.

Mickey enjoyed decorating cakes and used her talents for the Hiawatha Elementary School, St. Luke’s Hospital and Family events. She liked to dance and enjoyed friends at both Hiawatha and Marion Senior Citizen Center weekly. She volunteered many hours making over 100 prayer shawls for both the Mercy Hospice House and St. Matthews ministries.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; siblings Opal Luekeux, Ruth Gamble, Verna Schultz, Arlo Kirkpatrick, and Dean Kirkpatrick
