Ned Wilson Found Dead in Bed Sunday Night
Ned R. Wilson, 47, was found dead in his bed on his ranch about six miles west of Fairfield when friends who had been staying at the Wilson place returned to the ranch from attending a picture show in Choteau Sunday night. Acute alchohol poisoning was given as the cause of death.
Monday morning under-sheriff Billings and Coroner Connor drove to the ranch to investigate the death and bring the remains to Choteau. At the ranch they found Roger and Walter Wryn, Jake Weaver and John Wairiki, who told the officers that Wilson had apparently been dead for some time when they found him lying face down on his bed. Wilson had been drinking heavily since last fall, and for several days before his death had been intoxicated. One of the men had half a bottle of wood alcohol at the ranch which he used for rubbing purposes, and this Wilson's friends think he consumed, since it was empty when the body was found.
Wilson, who was single, was born at Roscoe, Minn., but had lived in Great Falls and at the ranch west of Fairfield for many years. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel O'Donnel of Great Falls, and another sister who lives in Butte.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two at the Connor chapel and burial will be made in Choteau cemetery.
