Daily Gate City & Constitution-Democrat, Keokuk, Iowa, Monday, July 5, 1909, Page 6, Cols. 5 & 6: Carthage, Illinois. Miss Bertha Biggs, daughter of Frank Biggs, of Ft. Madison, who formerly resided in this city, died in Chicago. The body was brought to this city Saturday morning and taken to the home of Crit Sympson. Mrs. Mamie Airias, of Chicago, accompanied the remains to this city. Bertha was a young lady loved by all her acquaintances in this city, and her death has brought sadness to the hearts of many. The funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Burial at Moss Ridge Cemetery.
