John Crevier was born on March 12, 1857
at Wathena, Kansas and died at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Ely near Marys-
ville, Kansas on August 21, 1931, at the
age of 74 years, 5 months and nine days.
He was married to Augusta Bushey on
January 16, 1889, and to this union was
born two children; an infant son, Alfred
preceded him in death in October 1895,
and one daughter, Mrs. Effie Ely.
The Crevier family came to Kansas in 1872,
and located on a farm in the Reserville
neighborhood in April 1872. Mr. Crevier
made his home there until he purchased
his own farm west of Frankfort in 1884,
here he has made his home continuously,
excepting the years the family made their
home in Frankfort.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife
and daughter; a grandson; five brothers,
Edmund Crevier, Beattie, Kansas, Charles
Crevier, Home City, Kansas, Will Crevier,
Frankfort, Kansas, Nap Crevier, Atchison,
Kansas and Frank Crevier, Marysville,
Kansas; four sisters, Mrs. Millie Howell
and Mrs. Louisa Meugnoit, Frankfort,
Kansas Mrs. Della Bartlow, Fairbury,
Nebraska and Mrs. Josehine Ingraham of
Blue Rapids, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at Annunciation
Catholic Church on Monday, August 24 at
9:00 a.m.
Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
