Robert McCausland Ashland 74. Died 8-28-2002 at a Presque Isle nursing home. He was born in Fort Fairfield 11-22-1927 the son of Arthur and Annie (Maskell) McCausland. He attended Fort Fairfield and Squa Pan schools and as a young man he worked for the B & A Railroad as a brakeman along with his brothers and father. He is survived by his wife, Paula (Rafford) McCausland of Presque Isle, with whom he raised 7 children, Michael and his wife, Leanna of Saco, Truman and his wife, Rebecca of Garfield Plantation, R. Scott of Masardis, Ann Marie Greenwood and her husband, Maynard of Derby, CT., Harriet McCausland of Brighton, MA., Marjorie McCausland of Milford and Kitty Ceppi and husband, John of North Hollywood, CAL., 3 brothers, Harry and Wife, Marie of Springfield, MA., William and Wife, Maxine of West Enfield, Archie and wife, Joanne of Presque Isle, 5 sisters, Rita Johnson and Maxine McCausland, both of Presque Isle, Gloria Howe and husband, Gary of Mapleton, Linda Orman and husband, Charles of Florida, Elizabeth Thompson of Howland, 1 grandson, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Laura, Thelma and Ethel and 3 brothers, David, George and Arthur Jr. Burial Ashland Municipal cemetery.
