Kernersville – July 3, 2015, Richard Parker Barrow, 78, passed away peacefully at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6:00PM, July 7, 2015 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel in Kernersville, NC.
Richard rose to the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of the Talley’s Crossing Volunteer Fire Department until 1972. He worked for Bell South retiring after 28 years in 1986. The next 22 years Richard worked for Vestal Buick GMC in Kernersville, retiring in 2014. Richard loved the outdoors.
Surviving are sons; Steven E. Barrow and wife Debbie, Douglas E. Barrow and wife Jennifer. Stepdaughter; Melissa D. Carpenter. Daughter; Brittney S. Barrow. Grandchildren; Brandon, Taylor and Olivia Barrow. Step- grandchildren, Chelsea, Harley and Gaven. Great-grandchild; Asher Glenn. Sisters; Carole and husband Jim Warren, Martha and husband Warren Miller, Mary and husband Greg Campbell. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
