Luther Charles Blizzard was born October 3, 1918 in Santa Rita , New Mexico, Grant County. In 1920 the town had a population of 6000 people. It was famous for its copper mining. It is now a ghost town. His parents were Charles Mack Blizzard born 1-5-1894 in Jackson County, Alabama and Inez Patterson born 1896 in Bee Branch Arkansas. Inez died on 9-24- 1935 in Pulaski County, Arkansas and is buried in Bee Branch Cemetery in Bee Branch, Arkansas. His father Charles Mack Blizzard died 2-8-1972 in Wheeler Texas. After Luke's mother died , he lived with his grandparents(The James Rice Pattersons) in Bee Branch. Luke was town constable for a long time there. After his grandparents died, he continued to live in the old Patterson house( his grandfather had left it to him) as a bachelor. In 1978 at the age of 60 , he married Geda Nadine Johnston Burroughs, and acquried a whole new family. She had 8 children and several grandchildren. They were married almost 12 years when he died. He is buried beside his mother Inez in the Bee Branch Cemetery.
