A US citizen, she died of heart failure in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, aged 80 years. Her husband was Everard Bierer Junior, as reported on their Immigration Card, Rio de Janeiro; they were married in Davis, UT in 1905.

She was the daughter of Fitzhugh Cummings, a farmer, of IL, and Esther Garrett Cummings, of OH. She was survived by her son, Everard Cummings Bierer (1906-1999), a pilot-aviator in 1945, of Rio; he was granted a permanent Brazilian visa in 1949. She shares a memorial with her sister, Jennie Cummings Lee (1858-1938) and brother in law, Eddy Orland Lee (1855-1925), in Utah, both of whom predeceased her.

Information from 1880 US census; Utah, Select Marriages, 1887-1966; Report of the Death of an American Citizen; American Foreign Service, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 22 April 1952.

The photo is of her cenotaph in Utah: Interestingly, she is also listed at the bottom of her sister and brother-in-law's shared headstone in Salt Lake City. See # 174242. (As explained by the photo poster.)
