Per Scotland, Select Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950, John Baxter, son of Archibald Baxter and Catherine Brown, was born June 22, 1822, and baptised July 7, 1822. Place of baptism was Rothesay, Bute, Scotland. FHL Film Number: 1041086

Per Ireland, Select Marriages, 1619-1898, John Baxter was married to Mary Jane Geough, on June 3, 1854, in Armagh, Arm, Ireland. FHL Film Number 101352
