GRACE ESTHER BATES RUFFING: 34; Green, wife of Robert Ruffing died in Greenville Hosp today following an illness of 1 week. A daughter of the late John & Sylvia McKenzie Bates, she was born in Green Twp on Oct. 6, 1905 & had spent her entire life in that vicinity. She was educated in Jamestown Schools & Edinboro State Teachers College. She taught schools in Shenango Twp & Green Twp before her marriage 26 Dec 1935. Mrs Ruffing was a member of StateLine Methodist Church & was widely known thru-out the district.
She is survived by her husband, an infant daughter & 1 brother: Richard-Green Twp. Arrangements incomplete.
ADDITIONAL INFO: (Warren Tribune-May 22) Surviving are her husband Robert; daughter: Carol Ann (born May 12th); 1 half-sister: Mrs.Maude Higgins-Cranesville; 1 brother: Richard Bates-Jamestown PA; 2 half-brothers: Chester McKenzie{Bates}-Chicago IL & Raymond McKenzie{Bates}-Jamestown.
