JOHN W BATES--89: died Thursday [5-30] at the home of his dau: MrsCarl Larkin-Jamestwn. A retired farmer, he had lived in W.Shenango Twp until 11yrs ago. He was a member of State Line Methodist Church.
Also surviving are 4 grandchildren & 8 gr grand children. His wife, the former Jennie Hanna died 1 Jul 1951.
Service will be held today [6-02] at Clark Funrl Home-Jamestown. Interment will be at State Line Cem.
ODDSTUFF--His DCert shows he was in Warren State Hosp & died of a cerebral thrombosis which happened 10 days prior
