A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating. Our Lady of Guadalupe Choir sang.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation and a rosary service were held Tuesday evening, May 11.
Neri was born Oct. 4, 1948, in Mexico, the son of Nicolas Neri and Soledad Rodriguez Neri. His wife, Maria, preceded him in death.
He is survived three daughters and one son, including Maria Neri and Mary Guadalupe Neri, both of Austin; and Aurora Neri and Jorge Neri and his wife, Karla, all of Fredericksburg, and 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, including Lucina Prado and Antonio Neri, both of Fredericksburg; Micaela Castruita, Panfilo Neri and Pablo Neri, all of Mexico, and Juventina Herrera of New Mexico.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Jorge Neri, Benny Valenzuela, Victor Hernandez, Abram Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Julio Martinez, Antonio Neri Jr. and Raul Prado.
