John married Betty Lee Daniel on March 10, 1945 at the First Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. Moved to Waverly in 1967 after his retirement in Memphis as Resident Civil Engineer for the State of Tennessee. Mr. Faucette attended Cluster Springs Academy in Virginia and North Carolina State University, where he studied Civil Engineering. He participated in the athletic program at NCSU and received letters in Track, Baseball, Basketball, and Football. In his Senior Year he was elected Captain(1919-1921) and was chosen "all southern quarterback". Member of Delta Sigma Phi Faternity. Captian "Runt" Faucette has a personal file in the Alumnus Hall at NCSU. Mr. Faucette constructed roads and bridges in North Carolina, Louisiana, Florida and Tennessee.
