Carlie Nelson Thompson Allsop, 83, passed away on June 30, 2015 at the Bear River Valley Care Center. Carlie was born on July 1, 1931 in Mink Creek, Idaho to Leo Phillip Nelson & Blanche Rasmussen. She was most recently married to Val Allsop.

Carlie worked for Thiokol for 18 years. She retired in 1992.

She loved to sing in the church choir, play her player organ & board games. Mom was a gardener and canned everything she grew. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. More than anything she loved to spend time with her family. She had the love of Christ in her. She served in the Logan Temple as an ordinance worker for many years.

Carlie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to serve others and made over 1,000 Stocking Caps that she donated to the LDS Humanitarian fund. She served a mission in England from 2000-2002, she was serving others every chance she had. She enjoyed serving many years in the primary and loved the children.

She is survived by children, Gwendellen T. Phillips, Lawrence L. Thompson, Kevin B. Thompson, Kayla T. Mortensen, Teresa Thompson, Stanley J. Thompson, Norma (Leah) Thompson Walker, Shannon Bunn and Jeffrey H. Bunn; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Glenda Nelson Kent.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lester L. Thompson (Husband), Jacob H. Bunn (Husband), Val Allsop (Husband); and four siblings.

Funeral services for Carlie will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT). A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place in the Clarkston Cemetery.
