Mrs. Mobley was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for 62 years. During that time she served 23 years as Church Hostess. In her younger years she served in the PTA and other church and civic organizations and continued to be involved in helping others until her health declined. She will always be rememberd for her zest for life and radiant enthusiasm. Her kindness and gracious spirit touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 61 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Burbank and her husband Charles of Midland, and Linda Michelle Forsyth and her husband Pete of Tyler. Mrs. Mobley is survived by four grandchildren. These include Chuck Burbank and his wife Sharee of Valdosta, Georgia, Tracey Lewis and her husband Morris of Salt Lake, Utah, Forrest Forsyth of Tyler, and Spencer Mobley Forsyth and his wife Rachel of Highland Village, Texas. The great grand children are Jonathan Burbank and his wife Holly of New London, Connecticut, Benjamin Burbank of Mystic, Connecticut, Brianna and Connor Lewis of Salt Lake, Utah and Lauren Brooke Forsyth of Highland Village, Texas. In addition she wished to include her friend of over 60 years, Wilna Mae Foster of Kilgore.
Funeral services and a joyful celebration of her life will be held at Rader Funeral Home Chapel Monday, June 26, 2006 at four p.m. with the Reverend David Hampton officiating. Burial will be at one p.m. Tuesday at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service Monday afternoon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the First Baptist Church of Kilgore.
