Brittie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, PA. He was also a member of the Sylvania Lions Club. Brittie was a very special man whose life revolved around help others; there are many happy memories of Brittie’s birthday parties.
Brittie is survived by his mother, Doris (Elvidge) Robbins and step-father, Vernon “Spike” Robbins of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; brothers, Don (Carolyn) Bixby of East Smithfield, PA; niece, Susan (Ralph) Hadlock of Ulster, PA; aunts, Edith (Lloyd) Shedden of Granville Summit, PA, Gladys (Stuart) Freeman of Granville Summit, PA, Joyce Bixby of Mansfield, PA; uncle, Richmond (Freda) Sweet of Troy, PA; several great nieces and nephews; several cousins; step-family, Harold (Renee) Nichols and family of Big Pond, Pa, Mike (Barb) Robbins and family of Big Pond, PA; and special friends, Jackie Press and Jerry Vickery.
He is predeceased by his father, Neil S. Bixby in 1982; uncle Britton N. Bixby; and special friends, Nettie Morley.
Services were private at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Kenneth Marple officiating and interment to be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. Pallbearers were to be Steve Bixby, Tom Bixby, Mike Bixby, Joe Bixby, Susan Hadlock and Jerry Vickery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy.
