"Mrs. William A. Rensch, a well-known Chillicothean who has been living in Texas most of the time since she left here three years ago, died at 3:18 o'clock Sunday morning in Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in Waco, Texas. Before entering the hospital, Mrs. Rensch had lived in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Arnold at Waco. Mrs. Rensch had been in ill health since about the first of the year.

The body arrived here this afternoon and the funeral for Mrs. Rensch was held in the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home this afternoon at 4 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Glen T. Beaty.

Before her marriage, Mrs. Rensch was Elizabeth French, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David French of Chillicothe. Mr. Rensch, former mayor of Chillicothe, died February 11, 1941. He was elected mayor in 1933 and served for two years. Previously, Mr. Rensch served as a councilman of First ward during the administration of the late A.R. Coburn and as councilman-at-large during the time the late John H. Taylor was mayor.

After the death of her husband, Mrs. Rensch worked for a time as supervisor of a government sewing room project in this area. Capable and pleasant, Mrs. Rensch was well-liked in all circles. The Rensch home was at 1573 Calhoun Street.

Mrs. Rensch is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Harold Arnold (Virginia Rensch); a son, Bob Rensch of Kansas City; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ben Beazell of Kansas City; and a brother, Dave French, who is in the armed forces overseas." The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune, May 7, 1945
