Graveside services for Billie Jo Sadler Berry will be held at 3:00 PM, July 1, 2015 at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. A family friend, Pat Williams will conduct the service.

Mrs. Berry was born March 29, 1927 in Montrose, AR to DeWitt Talmadge Sadler and Edna Collins Sadler. She passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 in Monroe, LA. At the age of three, she moved to Newellton, LA with her parents and two older sisters. In 1947 she married Burton Oliver Berry of St. Joseph, LA, where they lived for over fifty years. They enjoyed traveling the world and their couples bridge club. After Mr. Berry’s death, she moved to Monroe. Billie Jo was a member of First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Berry Burnside and husband, Frank of Newellton; granddaughter, Berry Burnside Balfour and husband, Kelly of Baton Rouge; grandson, Rob Burnside and wife, Vaughn of Newellton.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Elizabeth Berry; and sisters, Louise Sadler Bourgeois and Thelma Sadler Hendrix.
