Anthony Agrella, 75, a longtime resident of Dracut, died Tuesday August 19th, at the Genesis Westford House in Westford. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Doucette) Agrella to whom he was married for 54 years.

He was born in the Medeira Islands, Portugal on February 21, 1933, and was the son of the late Frank and Augusta (Olival) Agrella.

Mr. Agrella was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School in 1953. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a tool and dye maker for over 40 years until his retirement in 1992.

Mr. Agrella was a member of St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish at St. Therese Church in Dracut, the Passe Temps Club of Lowell, and the Centerville Social Club. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Agrella is survived by two sons Anthony D. Agrella and his wife Cristina of Dracut and Brian J. Agrella and his wife Elise of Tyngsboro; two daughters Denise M. April and her husband Richard of Florida and Brenda A. Breda and her husband David of Alton Bay, NH; a brother George Agrella and his wife Susan of Lowell; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a cousin Nativity; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Agrella was predeceased by two brothers Frank and Joseph Agrella.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Friday from 4-8 PM. His funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Marguerite D’Youville Parish at St. Therese Church in Dracut.
