PORT TOWNSEND- At her prior request, there will be no funeral service for Ruth I. Walters, 88, who died Wednesday, July 9, 1986 in the Kah Tai Care Center, Kosec Funeral Home was in charge of cremation with interment to be in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 28th, 1897, in Hawthorne, Wisconsin to August and Ida Erickson Hammer. She married Herbert M. Walters May 27, 1915, in Chimacum. He died June 30, 1970. Mrs. Walters had been a Jefferson County resident since 1907. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Marshall Walters of Port Townsend; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Hammer of Port Angeles.
Memorials are suggested to Kah Tai Care Center, 751 Kearney, Port Townsend, Wa. 98368.
