Funeral services for Mrs. Arnold Markwordt, 78, were held n Saturday, Nov. 26, 1966, at 9 a.m. in the Schaetter Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church in Harper.
The Rev. A. A. Gitter officiated in the rites. Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery, in Harper.
Mrs. Markwordt died on Thursday, Nov. 24, at 11:58 a.m. in the Fredericksburg Hospital and Clinic.
She was the former Anna Clara Fiedler and was born on June 27, 1888, the daughter to Jacob Fiedler and Francesca Brinkrolf.
She was married to Albrecht Carl Tatsch on Sept. 17, 1907, and he died May 26, 1927. She married Arnold Markwordt on Aug. 17, 1946 and he died on April 17, 1957.
She is survived by the following children: Helen, Mrs. James Jung Sr., Harper; Emil A. Tatsch, Fredericksburg; Arwin Tatsch, Albert; Chester Tatsch, Harper; and Freddy Tatsch, Fredericksburg; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following sisters: Gertrude, Mrs. Louis Bierschwale, Harper; Katie, Mrs. Alfred Kramer, Harper; Frances, Mrs. Albert Kaiser, Junction; and Mary, Mrs. Alfred Moellendorf, Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by six brothers: John, Willie, August, Joe, Otto and Jacob Jr.
Pallbearers at her rites were: James Jung Jr., Douglas Tatsch, Gene Tatsch, Cecil Tatsch, Andrew Tatsch and David Tatsch.
