Hugh was born February 25, 1930 in Erin Prairie, Wisconsin to Bill and Delia Ward. He grew up in New Richmond, Wisconsin along with three sisters; Donna, Ethel, Marj and two brothers; Harold and Jack. Hugh served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Minot, North Dakota. While in Minot, he met Anne Marie Bock and they were married on November 6, 1954. After graduating from Dunwoody College of Technology, he moved to Richland, Washington in 1954 to work at Hanford Area until he retired in 1995. Hugh was an active member of Christ the King and Knights of Columbus. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather. His kind hearted spirit, sense of humor and talent for fixing everything will be forever remembered.

Hugh was survived by his wife Anne of 60 years; son; Paul; daughter, Maureen; son in law, Jeff; grandsons, Jeremy and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sons, Anthony and Bryan; sisters, Ethel and Donna.

Rosary will be held on Friday January 16 at 6:00 P.M at Einan's at Sunset Chapel.
