Martin Brunk of Stanolind Stricken at 54

Martin L. Brunk, 54, of 228 West 11th, died early Wednesday evening at Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1899 in Findlay, Ohio. He attended school in Toledo and in 1919 married Ella Marie Opfer in a ceremony in Toledo.

In 1919, the couple came to the Midwest area and in June of the same year, Mr. Brunk was employed by the Midwest Refining Co.

Later he worked for Stanolind OIl and Gas Co., and in Oct. 18, 1933 was transferred to the Casper office as chief engineer of the water station. He later was made supervisor of the water station and was employed by Stanolind at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. W. D. Brunkow, Portland, Ore., Mrs. R. M. Sackett, Jr., Casper and Mrs. R. M. Kinney Jr., of Laramie; two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Wills, Elk Basin, Wyo., and Mrs. G. J. Husser, Long Beach, Calif., a brother, Paul Brunk, Mira Loma, Calif., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brunk, Mira Loma, Calif.; and five grandchildren, David and Barbara Brunkow, Susan and Karen Sackett and Cheryle Kinney. One son, Charles, preceded him in death.

Services are incomplete but will be held later in Casper. Bustard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
