Marie Ella Brunk

Casper-Graveside services for Marie Ella Brunk, 92, of Denver, Colo. will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Brunk died May 22, 1992, at Swedish Memorial Hospital in Denver.

She was born Aug. 27, 1899, in Genoa, Ohio, to John Henry and Rose (Cook) Opfer.

She was raised and educated in Ohio.

On Sept. 19, 1919, she married Martin Brunk in Casper.

The couple then moved to Midwest where she worked in the Post Office.

They moved to Casper in 1933, where Mrs. Brunk worked at the Air Base as an airplane mechanic during World War I.

Mrs. Brunk moved to Denver in 1973.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Casper.

She is survived by her daughters, Merlyn Brunkow, of Portland, Ore. and Shirley Businga, of Denver; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Martin in 1954; a son, Charles; and a daughter, Jean Brunk Sackett.

Flowers or memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be equally appreciated by the family.
