EMMA KLEIN

Wife of City Treasurer Dead
Mrs. Emma Klein, wife of City Treasurer Joseph Klein, died at the Holy Family
hospital at Manitowoc at noon, her demise being due to a complication of
diseases. The arrangements for the funeral had not been completed but the body
will be brought to this city and funeral service will be held at St.Luke’s
Catholic church.
Born Emma Kumbalek in this city August 27, 1875, deceased had always made her
home in this city. She was married to Mr. Klein May 25, 1897 and her husband,
six children and four grandchildren survive her. The children are Coletta,
Marie, Geraldine and Leo, all at home, Miss Esther at Chicago and Joseph of
this city. Four brothers, Louis and Ervin Kumbalek of this city, Benjamin
Kumbalek of Manitowoc and Anton Kumbalek of Oshkosh and five sisters, Sister
Esther of Elmhurst, Ill., Sister Margeruite (sic) of Hay, Kansas. Miss Rose
Kumbalek of Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Smith of Owosso, Mich., and Mrs. M.E. Clocksin
of Chicago also survive her.
