He was born April 10, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William and Gracie Mae Austin Carson.
Surviving are his beloved fiancé, Donna Butikofer, Normal; two daughters, Rose (Charles Pruitt) Talley, Fort Worth, Texas and Stephene Carson, Savannah, Texas; two grandsons, Ryan and Scot and two granddaughters, Saige and Emiley, who he loved and adored.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was a kind, caring and fun-loving person who didn't know a stranger. He was an avid KISS fan and loved rock 'n' roll music. He deeply loved and cherished his fiancé, Donna, and her three daughters, Jacqueline Butikofer, Kristin Upton and Kayla Dietsch. He also adored her four grandchildren, Vanessa, Michael, Michelle and Garrett.
Steve was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a jet fueler. He served five and a half years and was stationed out of Alaska. He worked for Schwan's as a route manager since 1996. His co-workers were like his extended family and his customers were his top priority.
Steve was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. His visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gridley Cemetery.
