5 Jul 2006: Warren F. Wampler, 81, Lebanon, died Monday, July 3, 2006, in Spang Crest Manor. He was the husband of Arlene Breidenstine Wampler, with whom he celebrated a 58th wedding anniversary in December. He was born in Lebanon County March 25, 1925, a son of the late Homer and Delfie Hale Wampler. He had worked in the pattern shop of the Lebanon Steel Foundry before becoming a farmer in South Annville Township for many years. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1942. He was a faithful member of the Lebanon Church of the Brethren where he was a former deacon and board member, and had sung in the church choir and men's quartets. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and was a member of the Lebanon Singing Cedars Barbershop Chorus for many years. He was also a faithful member of the Thursday Morning Prayer Breakfast at Heisey's Diner. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Frank and wife Jane Wampler, Lebanon, Henry and wife Roberta Wampler, Lebanon, Steve and wife Lori Wampler, Lebanon, Homer and wife Dianna Wampler, Lebanon, Duane Wampler and companion Ann Fithian, Jonestown; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Isaac Wampler, Palmyra, and Arnold Wampler, Lebanon; also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Pam Wampler; and grandson Alex Wampler; as well as 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral Saturday at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, Lebanon.
