LEBAON, Va. Willie Jewel Cantrell, age 81, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in Bristol Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Jewel was born June 4, 1934, in Russell County, a daughter of the late Elihu Jessee and Gladys Ervin Jessee. She was the wife of the late Wiley Cantrell and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Jessee; and sister, Gaynelle Cantrell. Survivors include two daughters, Annette Leonard and companion, Donald Hash, Abingdon, Va., and Teresa Zuber and Nicky, Glade Spring, Va.; two sons, Larry Woodrow Cantrell and fianc, Estella Linkous, Lebanon, Va., and Wiley Cantrell, Jr. and Mona, Lebanon, Va.; three grandchildren, Jeromy Cantrell, Clay Cantrell and Alexis Cantrell, all of Lebanon, Va.; special niece and caregiver, Gail Chafin, Lebanon, Va.; sisters, Eva Helbert and husband, Glen, Castlewood, Va., Esther Taylor, Castlewood, Va., Ellen Hurd and husband, Wilkie, Castlewood, Va., Joyce Mullins, Abingdon, Va., and Lois Mullins and husband, Arnold, Castlewood, Va.; one brother, Guy Jessee and wife, Sue, Castlewood, Va.; and several nieces and nephews survive. The funeral service will be conducted 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Roger Phillips and the Rev. Virgil Musick officiating. Entombment will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jack Blankenship, Johnny Hobson, Charlie Cantrell and Farrell Meade.
