A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church - Maurice for Billy Morris McDonald, 87, who passed away on May 16, 2021 at his home.

Burial will take place in St. Alphonsus Mausoleum.

Billy worked for many years in the Oilfield Service Industry and retired so he could do what he loved, working on his tractor and mowing machine. He will be missed by all who loved him and his chihuahua, P-2.

Billy, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Claby McDonald and the former Etta DeBlanc.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gerald Jeanne Landry McDonald; children, Lisa Ann LeBlanc and husband, Mark, James Claby McDonald and wife, Sandie, and Brenda Lee McDonald; three grandchildren, Tracy LeBlanc and partner, Christopher Monju, Lane McDonald and wife, Mekail, and Billy McDonald; five great grandchildren, Adrian Wories, Levi and Ozzie McDonald, Nicodemus and Raphael LeBlanc Monju; siblings, Lou Anna Breaux and Shelly McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Choplin.
