A native of Mackay,Idaho, she was born July 13, 1909, one of 13 children born to Thomas and Hannah McElvey Donahue. She attended school at Mackay.
Kathryn was married June 27, 1929 to Robert R "Patsy" Coleman of Challis, who preceded her in death in 1983 after 54 years of marriage. They lived in California until 1970 when they moved to Reno.
She was preceded in death by her only son Francis "Frank" Emmett Coleman.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia, a sister Eileen and seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
