SYLVESTER H. BUCK

Sylvester H. Buck, 82, Foster avenue, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Werner Hallgren, 1767 Oakdale avenue, Lorain, this morning at 10:30. He had been ill for three and one-half months.

Mr. Buck was born in Carrolltown, Pennsylvania and had lived in Elyria over forty years. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of St. Agnes Church.

Eight children survive, Raymond of McKeesport, Pa.; Peter J. of Chicago; Edwin and Pius of Elyria; Mrs. H. T. Austin of Detroit; Mrs. Werner Hallgren of Lorain; and Mrs. Joseph Dunlap of Elyria and Mrs. Thomas Gascoigne of Philadelphia.

Other survivors are three brothers, Dr. M. J. Buck of Wilkinsburg, Pa.; A. C. Buck of Edgewood, Pa., and Vincent Buck of Pennsylvania, and one sister, Mrs. James Eck of Gallitzen, Pa.

The body was taken to Surdro Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
