Dorothy Alice Kay- June 23, 2015

Born in Battle Ground, WA on July 12, 1935 of parents Hulda and Victor Lehto. She was one of 16 children. She married Eugene Kay on April 24th, 1952 in Stevenson, WA.

In the early days Dorothy enjoyed raising her six children, serving on the PTA, making cupcakes for birthday parties at school, allowing the German Club to make sauerkraut for a fundraiser at her home and her rose garden and other flowers.

She later enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, Bunco and Loo with friends. She loved crossword puzzles, Scrabble and dice games, and to travel and visit family. She also loved antiques and amassed quite a collection of beautiful glassware and other items.

Dorothy and Gene lived in Portland for some years, finally finding the farm in Estacada to move to after many Sunday drives. After Gene retired they moved back to the Lincoln City area where she lived out her last years in Rose Lodge, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Norm, Bob, Milt, Ken, Nick, Layt, Willy and Nib along with sisters; Bea, Honey, Dolly, Laura, Sharon and Trude. One sister, Neva survives.

She leaves husband of 63 years, Gene, and children; Jeanne, Juli, Shari, Bonnie, Carla and Greg as well as 16 grandchildren (three preceded her in death) and 30 great-grandchildren.
