LEHTO, LAYTON R.
Layton R. Lehto, of Camas, WA, passed away August 4, 2006 at the age of 69. He was a life-long resident of Clark County. Mr. Lehto, was born on May 10, 1937 in Battle Ground, WA, one of sixteen children born to Victor and HuldaLehto. Layton never met a stranger, or an enemy. He worked for 33 years as a paper-maker at the James River Paper Co. (formerly Crown Zellerbach) in Camas, WA. He loved golf and bowling, and made time for both after retiring at the age of 55. He is remembered as a genuinely helpful man, generous to a fault. He is survived by Katherine, his wife of 49 years; sons, Ardi, and Andy Lehto, both of Camas, WA; brother, Neb Lehto of Goldendale, WA; sisters, Neva Shelton of Goldendale, WA, Laura Johnson and Trudie Gustafson, both of Battle Ground, WA, and Dorothy Kay of Otis, OR; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and four sisters. At his request, no services will be held. Layton Lehto is a well loved man who leaves many friends to mourn his passing.
