Blanche O. Cunningham Starnes, 56, of Victoria, Texas, Died Saturday, April 2, at 12:10 a.m. in a hospital in Victoria after an extended illness.
Mrs. Starnes was born March 18, 1904 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late William A. Proudfoot and Minnie Johnson Proudfoot of Junior. She was first married to James Cunningham, who died in 1941. She married John E. Starnes in 1943.
Surviving are her husband; her mother; two sons, Keith A. Cunningham of Birmingham, Michigan and Gerald E. Proudfoot of Clinton, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Grant (Willimina) Rowe of Garrettsville, Ohio; two brothers, Virgil Proudfoot of Weaver, and Truman Proudfoot of Junior; four sisters, Mrs. Ora (Ada) Shomo of Weaver, Mrs. Quincy (Elsie) Weatherholt of Morgantown, Mrs. Tom Kitler of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Ralph (Delphia) Kaufield of Weaver, and 12 grandchildren.
Mrs. Starnes attended the Methodist Church
Friends will be received at the Runner Funeral Home in Belington after 2 p.m. Tuesday and where funral services will be conducted Wednesday by Reverend Herbert Alltop, Baptist Minister of Belington. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery at Junior. The J.R. Runner Funeral Home of Belington is in charge of arrangements
