Sarah Jane Harmon, age 62, of Boone, died June 23, 2015, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Sarah was born in Sidney, Nebraska, on August 10, 1952, the daughter of Albertus and Ruby (Kennedy) Harmon.

She attended Sidney Public High School graduating in 1970. Sarah then attended and graduated from the Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1990 with a degree in business.

During her life, Sarah worked as a nurse’s aide at Sidney Memorial Hospital and later at the Sidney Cabela’s store.

Her hobbies included crocheting, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Albertus, her step-father, Carl Motes, her grandparents Robert and Nancy Kennedy and Arthur and Sarah Motes, her sisters, Linda Nelson and Betha Lou Tolbert, nephews Jeffrey Furrey, David Motes, Jeremy Nelson, Nicholas Wilson, and Robert Whitaker, and a niece Pamela Kleich.

Sarah is survived by her mother Ruby Motes of Harlan, Iowa; sisters Anita (Kenneth) Knapp of Loveland, Colorado, Virginia (Jim) Clawson of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Karen Kleich of Harlan, Sharon Hitz of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Kathy Long of Boone; a brother Glen (Penny) Motes of Harlan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
