Melody Ann Reed, of Waukesha, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. Melody was born February 23, 1949, in Freeport, IL; the daughter of Max and Margaret (DeBoer) Boeke. She married Ray on October 7, 1967, in Freeport, IL and moved to New London, CT, where they started their family. In 1987, she and her family relocated to Waukesha, WI. Melody enjoyed working at Curves for the past eleven years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling but more than anything she was most happy when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 47 years, Ray; her children, Michael (Donna) Reed, Michelle Reed, Melinda Davis and Mandy (Thomas) Morris; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Alicia, Samantha, Emma, Austin, Erin and Evelyn; her siblings, Max (Linda) Boeke, David (Kay) Boeke, James (Susie) Boeke and Christine (Robert) Larson; many beloved family and friends. The visitation for Melody will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Ev. & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. There will be a second visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the 1:30 p.m. service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 2514 IL Rt. 26 South, Freeport, IL 61032. The Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate. The interment will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society , N19 W24350 Riverwood Dr. Waukesha, WI 53188. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
