Her marriage was April 30, 1923, in South Bend, to Gerald E. Lawton, a self employed interior decorator. He died Sept. 28, 1960. She came to Lafayette, Indiana in 1931.
She graduated from Salvation Army Training Center in New York, when she was but 18 years of age and formerly was a captain with the Salvation Army. She was a long time member of Christ Memorial Temple.
Surviving are a son, Elwin J Lawton of Lafayette, Indiana, one daughter Virginia Collins of Denver, Colorado and a brother, Harry Allison of South Bend.
Surviving are 7 grandchildren and 8 great granchildren.
