Evelyn was born in Austin, Texas on February 23, 1928. She was one of ten children born to John and Milley Fojtik.
Evelyn married David E. Blevins in 1945. He preceded her in death January 4, 1973.
Evelyn is survived by her three children, Tom D. Blevins and life partner, Angela Esponoza of Farmington, New Mexico; Connie Loper and her husband, A. C. Loper of Pauls Valley; and Bill Blevins of Pauls Valley. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Douglas Williams, Angie Blevins, Tom Daniel Blevins, and David M. Blevins, Greg Blevins, Kyle Blevins, Tara Blevins; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Jordan Williams, Ericka Mendoza and Tylynn Mendoza; one brother, Bennie Fojtik; one sister, Martha Milner; a very special sister-in-law, Parnell Collins and special friends, Eric Mendoza and Debbie Hunt.
Evelyn lived in rural Garvin County for over 50 years. She loved fishing, gardening, cooking and canning. Most of all, however, she deeply loved her family and to them she devoted her life. Words cannot express how deeply her family loved her. She will be greatly missed, but we have peace knowing she is with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, whom she loved above all.
A Rosary Will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening in the Stufflebean Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Stufflebean Chapel with Rev. Tim McGough and Rev. Bob Cofer. Interment will be at the Mt.
