Tommy Joe Parsley was born March 12, 1933 in Willis, Texas and entered into rest on June 15, 2015 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 82.

He was a graduate of Willis High School in 1951 where he met his high school sweetheart; Delilah Jean Dyer. He played baseball for the Wildkats as well as semi-pro ball for the US Air force. He proudly served his country from 1951 to 1953 in the Air force as a Fireman where he was stationed in Merced, California.

Following his honorable discharge from the service, he began his 30 year career with the State of Texas as an Engineering Inspector in the Surveying Department.

After his retirement he continued in the engineering field building the Hardy Toll Road and the Sam Houston Toll way. He finally retired at the age of 67. He then began traveling with his wife, their beloved pets, grandkids, great grandson, and was an active member of the Texas W and the Bluebonnet Travelers Winnebago RV Clubs.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, his daughter, Regina Parsley Thorkelson, and great grandson, Jackson Andrew Merillat.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Delilah Parsley, his daughter, Brenda and husband Randy Biernacki, his son, Terry Parsley, his grandchildren, Marcia and husband Josh Merillat, Chris and wife Sarah Fulton, Leah and Lacey Biernacki, and great grandchildren, Hayden Parsley and Charlotte Fulton.

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Funeral service for Tommy Joe Parsley will be held at the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 3:00pm with interment following at Cude cemetery in Willis, Texas.
