Valparaiso -- Harry C. Nulf Sr., age 76, of Valparaiso, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Waters of Duneland Nursing Home, Chesterton, IN. Born February 28, 1927 in Jackson Twp., Porter Co., IN, to the late William and Agnes (Linderman) Nulf. Married June 25, 1949 in Michigan City, IN to Helen Marciniak, who survives. Also survived by sons: Harry (Paula) Nulf Jr. of Three Rivers, MI, Kevin (Gail) Nulf of Valparaiso, IN, Randy (Vicki) Nulf and Roger (Margie) Nulf of Michigan City, IN, Scott (Becky) Nulf of Carbon Hill, OH; daughter, Marjorie (Leroy) Reese of Phoenix, AZ; stepsister: Velma Nulf of Hobart, IN; several nieces and nephews; ex-daughter-in-law, Jane Nulf of Michigan City, IN; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Bertha Bechinski and Myra Blohm and brothers, Marvin and Bennitt Nulf.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, with Rev. Terry McKinney officiating. Burial, Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN. Visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Nulf was a truck driver for 40 years. Member of First Christian Church of Michigan City, IN and VFW Post #2511 of Porter, IN.
