He married 1st about 1686, Mary ____(? Talmage - born Jan. 13, 1668 at Boston), died (before Nov. 27, 1690), daughter of ____. (? William & Elizabeth (?Pierce?) [Pierce, maybe lined out] Talmage.

Samuel resided in Boston where his father gave him a house in his will, and was a mariner and died while on a voyage. He left a legacy to the school at Braintree but his will was set aside when his widow petitioned the court about it. In 1715 and 1717 the town of Braintree voted to try to get part of it still in the hands of the executor Samuel Marshall.

Children of Samuel & Mary born at Boston:
i.Mary, Jun. 17, 1687, died before Nov. 1690 (bapt. Jun. 5 at Old South Ch.)
ii.Samuel, Jun. 23, 1689, died Apr. 17, 1694 (bapt. Jun. 23, at Old South Ch.).

He was perhaps the Samuel Veze alias Very who was a soldier in King Philip's War Aug. 20, 1675 & Mar. 17, 1675/6. But this Samuel Veze was killed at the Falls Fight and is called of Braintree, (Register Vol.37, p.65; Vol.41, p.79; Vol.41, p.209) according to the Register. No heirs claimed the lands awarded in 1735, but he was not killed in 1676.
