THE POST-STAR, GLENS FALLS, N. Y., WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20, 1949 ----SARATOGA SPRINGS — Husband of Mrs. Wilfred Baldwin who resided in the District Of Columbia during the war.
Wilfred served as a Sergeant, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He resided in Saratoga County, New York prior to the war.
Wilfred was "Killed In Action" in Guam during the war. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here in April, 1949.
Service # 273233 Services for Wilfred (Jack) Baldwin, Marine Corps sergeant, who lost his life in the invasion of Guam, were conducted privately at 11 A. M. Tuesday at the Bussing - Funeral Home. The Rev. Irving G. Roullard officiated and interment was in Greenridge Cemetery.
