Her brother-in-law, Thomas Cozart Day, also left for Kentucky with Amelia's family. Thomas Cozart Day was married to two of Amelia's sisters (Mary Jane {hilpot & Nancy Olive Philpot).
Amelia was still living in the household of her brother-in-law, Thomas Cozart Day, and her sister, Nancy Olive Philpot-Day, in the US 1880 Census (Waverly, KY) along with her son (Isaac), mother (Elizabeth), as well as her three unmarried sisters (Martha Ann, Rebecca "Beckie", and Margaret Philpott).
