Michael D Woodruff, 51, of rural Lawrenceville, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born November 19, 1961, in Columbus, IN., the son of Virgil Alvin Woodruff, Jr. and Shirley (Alford) Woodruff. He married Kytrina Goff on April 20, 2005.
Michael worked as a custodian for the VFW in Lawrenceville. He was a Marine veteran. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Preceding Michael in death were his father, and a nephew Eric Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Kytrina Woodruff of rural Lawrenceville; his mother Shirley Woodruff of Lawrenceville, and two sisters, Brenda Ramsey of North Vernon, IN., and Debbie Mays of Vernon, IN., and one brother in-law: Jason Goff of Lawrenceville. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11am Saturday at Emmons-Macey& Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorials may be made to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots with envelopes available through the funeral home.
