Lora Violet Jividen, 91, of 305 Bethel Road, Beckley, died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness. Born May 17, 1911, at Winding Gulf, she was the daughter of the late John L. Basham and Rebecca Elizabeth Farley. Mrs. Jividen was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Jividen, in 1980; a son, Kenneth Jividen; two brothers, J.L. Basham Jr. and Elmer Clarance Basham; and four sisters, Rozella Fain, Thelma Rose, Sylvia Centers and Myrtle McGraw. Survivors include a son, Donald Eugene Jividen and wife, Charlene, of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Ethel Duff of Beckley; four grandchildren, Pamela Graham, Gregory Jividen, Toni Jividen and Donna Hunt; and three great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, Sophia, with Pastor Wayne Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour before service Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church, P.O.
