Mrs. Nettie Hartley, 82, Rt. 2, Greenville, longtime Greenville resident, died at 1:17 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Sorrells & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Herman Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Forrest (sic) Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hartley was born July 4, 1881, in Lee County, Va., the daughter of G.E. Arey and Mollie Davis Arey. She moved to Hunt County from Virginia and resided in the Greenville and Hunt County for the past 66 years.

A member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Hartley married O.M. Hartley in 1904 in Hunt County.

Survivors include her husband; granddaughter, Norma Junell Ward of Greenville; great-grandsons Gary Hartley and Bill Hartley; two brothers, Bradley Arey of Oregon and Milford Arey of Floyd; two sisters, Mrs. E.Z. Causey and Mrs. Henry Coats, both of Greenville; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alton Timberlake, Ray Ellridge, Frank Hale, Herschel Bridges, Garland Shields and Billy Ramsey.

Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Sorrells & Sons Funeral Home.
