David E. Estes of Moore, SC, passed into his eternal rest at his home on Friday, June 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Joanna, SC, on June 21, 1943, the son of Charles Webb Estes (1915–2001) and Blanche Bradley Estes (1915–2003).

A graduate of Clinton High School, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1965, and was retired from Lucent Technologies after 36 years of service.

He was dedicated to his family and devoted most of his time to his grandchildren, ensuring that they were happy and learned how to enjoy life to the fullest.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jo Ann Hammett Estes; a son, Michael Estes (Stacey); daughters, Traci Wines, Shannon Young (Brian), Toni Rogers, and Missy Dyees; and was blessed with 12 grandchildren, along with many special friends and extended family.

Also predeceased by a brother, Charles Robert "Bobby" Estes (1935–2000); and sisters, Vera Estes Bodie (1939–2013) and Shirley Estes Adam (1945–2009)

The family received friends from 9:30 - 10:45 am, Monday, June 15, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Memorial Service immediately followed at 11:00 am, conducted by Rev. Travis Northcutt.
