CALDWELL — Mrs. Bessie Child, 79, died Sunday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
Born June 5, 1885, at North Platte, Neb., she married Charles C. Child on Sept. 9, 1903, in Ogden, Utah. They lived there for a number of years. In 1917, they moved to Payette and farmed in that area for several years, later farming near Middleton. They moved to Caldwell in 1953. Mr. Child died on Oct. 23, 1959, in Caldwell. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are a twin sister, Mrs. Jesse Epperson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Flahiff Chapel, with Bishop William A. Norman, Second Ward LDS Church, officiating. Interment follows at Canyon Hill.
