LAWSON, Marvin Ray 82, of Middletown, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Ohio Veteran's Home, Georgetown. He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on December 2, 1932 to parents Lige and Ida (Helton) Lawson. Marvin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was received a Purple Heart. He retired from Inland Container after 37 years of service. Mr. Lawson is survived by his sons, Jan Lawson and Scott (Tracey) Lawson; daughters, Penny Lawson, Cathy Lawson and Kimberly (Jeff) Banks; brothers, Charles Lawson, Jerry (Wanda) Lawson and Emmitt (Mickey) Lawson; sisters, Nell Blevins and Hazel Leturgez and former wife, Evelyn Gevedon; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ella Pearl Honaker; Mary Taylor and Rosetta Combs; brothers, Herbert Lawson and Robert Lawson. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at WILSON -SCHRAMM -SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Lovely and Amburgy Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Kentucky where military rites will be accorded.
