Loretta was born June 21, 1927 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to James E and Bertha M Brooks, the third born of four children. They moved from Arkansas to Caldwell when she was eight months old where she remained until her death. She attended Caldwell High School and graduated in 1945. She married Robert Nickel in 1947 until his death in 1953. She later married Richard L (Dick) Naylor in Sept 1955. Through this union, a son Richard L (Rich) Naylor was born Sept 1963 and later a daughter Traci in June 1967. Dick and Loretta were married until 1988.
Loretta was preceded in death by her older sister, her father and her mother.
She is survived by her children, Rich of Middleton, and her daughter Traci of Nampa. Also an older sister Leota of New Meadows, a younger brother Jay of Caldwell, and the love of her life Homer (Buck) Joyner of Caldwell, and several nephews.
She worked at the College of Idaho as an assistant Registrar for many years and later at Barnes and Noble bookstore at the C of I for many years with her best friends Marion and Judy.
She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, dancing and spending time with her children, family and friends.
She was a loving, caring and great friend to all who knew her. She will be forever missed.
